Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how AI Search Visibility (“we”, “us”, the “App”), operated by WPRobo, collects, uses, and protects information when a merchant (“you”) installs and uses our Shopify application. By installing the App you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to provide the App’s features:

• Store & catalog data (via the Shopify Admin API): your store domain and name, the store owner’s email, and your products, descriptions, images and alt text, pages, blog articles, store policies, themes, and language/locale settings.
• Account & contact information: the email associated with your store, and the content of any support messages you send us.
• Connected accounts (optional): if you connect Google Search Console or Bing Webmaster Tools, we store the access tokens (encrypted) and read your search-query, impression, and click data — read-only.
• Usage & diagnostics: scan results, visibility scores, feature usage, and error logs used to operate and improve the App.

We do not collect your shoppers’ personal data, and we do not email your customers.

How we use information

• Scan your store and calculate your AI Visibility Score and issue list.
• Generate structured data, llms.txt, agents.md, AI-drafted descriptions, FAQs, and related content — which you review and approve before anything is published.
• Track whether AI search engines cite your store for keywords you choose.
• Send you service and lifecycle emails, and reply to support requests.
• Maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve the App.

AI processing

To generate drafts and analysis, relevant store content (e.g. a product title and description) is sent to AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, and/or Google) and to Perplexity for citation checks, via their APIs. Generated content is shown to you for review and is never published without your approval. We do not use your data to train our own models; provider processing is governed by their respective API terms.

Service providers (sub-processors)

We share data only with the providers needed to run the App:

• Shopify — the platform your store and billing run on.
• Railway — application hosting and database.
• Resend — transactional and lifecycle email delivery.
• Anthropic, OpenAI, Google — AI text and image generation.
• Perplexity — AI citation checks.
• Google Search Console, Microsoft Bing Webmaster Tools — search-query data, only if you connect them.
• Cloudflare R2 — encrypted off-site database backups.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your data only while the App is installed. When you uninstall, we immediately revoke and delete your store’s access token, and we honor Shopify’s GDPR data-erasure webhooks — your store data is purged (typically within 48 hours of uninstall). You can also request deletion at any time by emailing us.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email aisearchvisibility@wprobo.com and we will respond within a reasonable period.

Security

Sensitive values such as API keys and OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM), and all data is transmitted over TLS. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data using industry-standard measures.

Cookies

The merchant-facing app runs inside the Shopify admin and uses Shopify session tokens — it does not set tracking cookies. Our private internal dashboard uses a single session cookie for staff authentication only.

Children

The App is a business tool and is not directed to anyone under 16.

International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, communicated to you by email.
